A guided community walk through Historic Overtown connects neighborhood history, wellness and local engagement. Historic Overtown Legacy Trek takes place on the last Saturday of each month, beginning at the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater. Presented by Catalyst Miami in partnership with GirlTREK Overtown, the recurring walk invites participants to explore Overtown’s cultural legacy while getting outdoors and building community.
The program is led in collaboration with Catalyst Miami’s Overtown Community Champions, who support neighborhood-based leadership and civic engagement. Participants can expect a walk focused on connection, movement and learning, with opportunities to meet others interested in Overtown’s history and future.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
