The 60-Second Pitch Lab: Learn, Practice & Get Feedback
About the event
You have an idea.
Maybe it’s a business, a project, a service, a startup, a personal initiative—or something you’ve only just started thinking about.
But can you explain it clearly in 60 seconds or less?
For this Lisbon Innovators & Entrepreneurs meetup, we’re doing something practical: pitch training followed by live practice and feedback.
The first part of the event will focus on preparing your pitch. We’ll cover the basics, simple structures, useful strategies, common mistakes, and ways to make your message clearer and more memorable.
Then we’ll move into the second part: you pitch.
Each participant who wants to take part will have up to one minute to present an idea.
After each pitch, we’ll give short, constructive feedback on what was clear, what was compelling, what could be improved, and how the pitch could become stronger.
🎯 What we’ll work on
• How to explain your idea in one minute • How to structure a short pitch • How to identify the problem you’re solving • How to explain your solution clearly • How to communicate value instead of just features • How to avoid jargon and unnecessary detail • How to make your pitch memorable • How to sound natural instead of rehearsed • How to finish with a clear next step or ask • How to improve through feedback and repetition
💡 Don’t have an idea to pitch?
No problem. You don’t need to arrive with a startup or business idea. If you want to practice but don’t have something of your own to pitch, I’ll give you an idea to work with. The goal is not to have the perfect business. The goal is to practice the skill of communicating an idea clearly, confidently and quickly.
🤝 A supportive environment
This is not a pitch competition. There are no winners or losers. You don’t need to be an experienced speaker. And you don’t need to be an entrepreneur. The purpose is to practice, experiment, receive useful feedback and help each other improve. You can pitch a business, product, service, project, social initiative—or even a fictional idea just for practice.
60 seconds. One idea. Make it clear.
☕ Come to learn. Stay to practice. Leave with a stronger pitch.
