About the event
Join us for our monthly meetup! All boards and bodies are welcome! Bring your shortboard, mid-length, log, SUP, or bodyboard, come for a swim, or just bring the doggos / kids / your book / crafting project for a beach day:) No surfing experience or gear is required. If you'd like some help or encouragement catching waves for the first (or 50th) time, we'll have folks available to help out. And if you feel like you've got the hang of the basics, and want some pointers on progressing your surfing, we'll have folks on hand to help you out with that too:) If you need gear, we get wetsuits and boards from Lifestyle Surf Shop at no cost. If you need gear: meet 8:30 at Lifestyle Surf Shop, Surfer's Corner, Muizenberg Beach. If you have your own gear, meet 09:00 on the beach in front of Gary's Surf Shop / Hang Ten Cafe, ready to paddle out. We usually surf for about an hour, then get coffee / lunch after somewhere along the beachfront (food and drink at your own cost). If the weather plays along, we'll picnic on the beach, so bring something warm to get dressed into afterwards. The event is free, but please book a ticket so we can get an idea of numbers.
