Step inside Layered Realities: Photography and Collage and discover how artists are reshaping the world around us. In this surprising exhibition, you will see work by sixteen contemporary makers from home and abroad, from established names to new talent being shown in the Netherlands for the first time.
Various themes are covered
Photography and collage come together in images that linger. Artists explore themes such as identity, family history, and the influence of images in a world full of stimuli. By cutting, combining, and distorting, new stories and perspectives emerge that make you think.
The exhibition shows that collage remains relevant today. What once began as a form of protest is evolving here into a powerful way to look at the present and to think ahead. Expect a mix of photography, video, installations, and textiles, always with photography as the starting point.
