Painting by the Manhattan Bridge in Chinatown
About the event
Where the Manhattan Bridge slices through Chinatown it creates interesting sightlines and vantage points on the surrounding neighborhood. In addition, the Eldridge Street Synagogue is nearby, as well as plenty of calligraphic signage, graffiti, and the multilayered overpass of the Manhattan Bridge itself.
Our meeting point will be at 11am on the traffic island in front of the CoCo boba shop on Eldridge. Check in with me on-site so I know who's attending, and then we'll disperse to our individual painting spots. At 2pm, we'll meet back up to show off our art and discuss the day.
Gather your materials (watercolor, oils, gouache, acrylics, marker: all are welcome) and join with other artists for the joys and challenges of painting outside!
