Take a fresh look at Frida Kahlo’s iconic artwork, followed by an opportunity to see Frida: The Making of an Icon out of hours

Take a closer look at one artwork by Frida Kahlo through careful observation and group discussion. The Slow Looking series celebrates the power of paying attention - asking what one artwork can teach us about our world.Together, we will explore the choices Kahlo made and the ideas held within the work. We will consider its composition, symbols and use of self-portraiture. We will also ask how our response can change when we spend more time with a single work of art.The session is informal and open to different views, questions and responses. No prior knowledge of Kahlo or art history is needed.
