About the event
*Blade* *Runner 2049* is Denis Villenueve's follow-up to the 1982 Harrison Ford sci-fi classic. While arriving to somewhat lukewarm reviews during its initial 2017 release, it has become a cult classic in its own right. Cinematographer Roger Deakins won his first Oscar for the film's gorgeous yet haunting visuals of a dystopic futurescape. Come see *Blade Runner 2049* at the Boston Museum of Science (MoS) on Saturday, October 17th at 7pm.
Description: *Blade Runner 2049* is a 2017 neo-noir sci-fi film about identity, memory, and what it truly means to be human. Set thirty years after the original 1982 cult classic, the story follows a new "blade runner"—a bio-engineered android (replicant) named Officer K—who uncovers a world-altering secret.
The film will play at 7pm on Saturday, October 17th at the Boston Museum of Science. You can pre-purchase tickets [HERE](https://tickets.mos.org/events/01a02626-156b-d369-6069-ccc3bc1610d2).
Prior to the film, please come join me at the [Bon Me](https://share.google/AZ53khtqBwV5yRewz) in Cambridge Crossing.
**NOTE:
This film will be projected on a dome IMAX screen and not a conventional flat theater screen. Additionally, the seating angle is quite steep with little legroom. Basically, if you're not accustomed to the format, the viewing experience may be difficult, so please keep this in mind as this is almost a 3-hour film.
