Big Story Festival: Matthew Bourne's Cinderella Movement Workshops
About the event
Part of the IWM's Big Story Festival, step into Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella, an epic dance interpretation of the classic fairy tale, set in London during the Second World War. The Workshops begins with a tour of the Second World War Galleries, followed by movement exploration through play and storytelling with dance artists from Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures. There will be warmups, games and the chance to learn choreography from Cinderella, inspired by wartime London. There are four workshops throughout the day, for different age groups. These workshops are open to all levels of ability and mobility. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Join us at IWM London this October and celebrate the art of storytelling. Discover the power of stories through free drop-in activities, or purchase tickets to talks with bestselling children's authors like Dame Jacqueline Wilson and Tom Palmer. Older children can learn about the craft of storytelling through words and art with talks and workshops with Liz Kessler, Sarah Gavron and Sophie Herxheimer. Families £10
