Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young: A Tribute to the Songs of a Generation by CSNY Experience

Some places hold music differently. In a small theatre in the Noordhoek valley, with Chapman's Peak standing watch outside, songs like "Teach Your Children" and "Ohio" don't need amplification. They need only three voices, and the kind of room where people actually listen. The CSNY Experience returns to café Roux; a stage this trio knows well. They've played this room countless times before, to full houses and standing ovations, and there's a particular ease that comes from stepping onto a stage where the audience already knows what's coming. DOORS OPEN AT 4PM, SHOW STARTS AT 5PM NB! They came up together through Hatchetman, earning Silver Ovations at the National Arts Festival and forging the discipline of tight vocal layering that three-part harmony demands. Nick and Matt carry the Blundell folk lineage with them everywhere they play: a family tradition of harmony that was always lived. Jono brings a guitarist's grit and a singer's vulnerability, shaped by decades of Cape Town stages and a lifelong connection to Neil Young that began in his father's living room. Together, they move through the catalogue with care and intent. "Helplessly Hoping." "Our House." "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes." "Southern Cross." Songs that were written for arenas but that have always belonged in rooms like this one: close enough to feel the breath between the harmonies. café Roux, tucked into Noordhoek Farm Village, is exactly the kind of venue this music was made for. Intimate. Unhurried. A place where an evening can settle into something more than entertainment. Come and be part of the harmony.
