In 2024, conductor John Eliot Gardiner founded the collective Springhead Constellation. A vibrant collective of music ensembles, creative artists, and makers who have new ideas about the art of this century and do not limit themselves to a single discipline. The two main ensembles, the Constellation Ensemble and the Constellation Choir, produce ambitious, multidisciplinary concerts that tour the globe. In this way, the musicians strive for accessible, engaging, and educational performances that appeal to all generations and regions. Tonight, they do so in a Christmas story spanning five centuries: Once as I remember.
Once as I remember

This concert celebrates the timeless beauty of choral and instrumental works in which themes such as memory, longing, and transcendence are interwoven.
