This event is offered as part of History Week 2026. The official theme is Keeping Stories, exploring everything from truth-telling and tall tales to local community narratives and archival anecdotes. Discover how Sydney has changed and evolved over time through images from the City of Sydney Archives collection, then use this inspiration to create your own unique masterpiece. Led by experienced facilitators in the Darling Square Library makerspace, this workshop is a great introduction to laser-cut printmaking and the City of Sydney Archives. You’ll be guided through how to access historical images from the City Archives to make a laser-cut relief plate. Once you’re happy with your final design, we’ll help you print it on our small press. You’ll receive your relief plate and print during the class.
