Turkish Movie Mystery Night
About the event
🎬 WHAT’S GONNA BE PLAYED? That is a secret. 🤫
Join us for a mystery screening of a Turkish Yeşilçam film, shown with English subtitles.
Before streaming platforms, before multiplexes, there was Yeşilçam — the heart of Turkish popular cinema. Named after a modest street in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu district, Yeşilçam produced hundreds of films, especially during its golden years. From tearful melodramas and bittersweet romances to sharp social comedies, these films were made for the people, by the people: sometimes rough around the edges, always deeply human, and uniquely Turkish. For this evening, we’re bringing one of those stories back to the screen.
Which film? You’ll have to show up to find out. 😉
But there’s more than just a movie! 🧠 Yeşilçam Quiz 🏆 Prizes to win 🎬 Mystery film screening 🇹🇷 A glimpse into classic Turkish cinema 🌍 English subtitles — everyone is welcome
