**FirstCast.org — Mentorship-Driven Fishing for the Next Generation** FirstCast.org pairs young anglers with experienced mentors to build more than just fishing skills — we use time on the water to develop **good character and sound judgment**. Every session is a hands-on opportunity to practice integrity, personal responsibility, and ethical decision-making, all while learning the craft of coastal angling. Our Saturday meetups follow a simple rhythm: • **Gear up & connect** — Mentors and youth meet\, rig up\, and set goals for the day. • **Learn something real** — A short\, character-focused lesson covering species ID\, legal and ethical methods\, conservation\, and the kind of judgment that lasts beyond the waterline. • **Get on the water** — Apply the skills\, land some fish\, and put the lessons into practice together.
