Synopsis
Eleven-year-old Sophie (a remarkable Frankie Corio) spends a summer holiday with her father, Calum (Paul Mescal, superb), at a resort in Turkey. Twenty years later, an adult Sophie looks back on those precious, tender days together. Through memories, fragments and images, she tries to reconcile the father she knew with the man who remained beyond her understanding. Bathed in summer light, *Aftersun* captures the intimacy between father and daughter with extraordinary tenderness, while gradually revealing the shadows beneath their seemingly carefree holiday.
