Slow Games and Review for Japanese Mahjong

A slower, study-focused session: we play riichi at an unhurried pace and talk through the decisions as we go. Which tile to discard, when to call, why that riichi. Think of it as playing with the commentary switched on.

Best if you've played any form of mahjong before: Hong Kong, Taiwanese, MCR, American, or Mahjong Soul all count. You already know the tiles, we'll bridge the riichi rules at the table. If you've never played any mahjong, our Play and Learn sessions are the better starting point, and you'll be very welcome here after.

Saturday the 26th of September, 11am-2pm at Dishtrict. A 35 AED minimum spend on food and drinks applies, no fees from us.
