Silver Sunday: Seen and celebrated
About the event
Celebrate Silver Sunday at the National Gallery with 'Seen and celebrated', a welcoming art tour and creative workshop for people aged 60+. Together, we'll explore a selection of artworks from the National Gallery Collection that invite us to reflect on art across time. Following the tour, take part in a creative workshop inspired by the artworks explored during the session. Using a range of accessible art-making activities, you'll be invited to create your own interpretations. Designed especially for older adults as part of the nationwide Silver Sunday programme, this relaxed and sociable event welcomes anyone interested in looking closely at art, sharing ideas and exploring creativity in a supportive environment. No previous artistic experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Attendees to meet in Central Hall for the guided talk, followed by the creative workshop which will take place in the Clore Art Studio in the Roden Centre for Creative Learning.
