Alexander McQueen was a British designer known for his groundbreaking clothes, shocking catwalk shows and precise tailoring. He drew on a broad range of references from the natural world, art, history and his imagination. He also drew on fashion history references from the 16th through to the 19th centuries.

Join leading fashion curator, writer and speaker Paola Di Trocchio to discover the historical clothing references in the stunning, complex and deeply influential work of Alexander McQueen for his own label (1992–2010) as well as for his work at Givenchy (1996–2001).
