Fabiana Iacozzilli — Heimat – Patria/Straniero La Trilogia di Belgrado by Biljana Srbljanovic
About the event
Five directors lead a cast of seven actors from the Second-Level Acting Course at the Silvio d’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in five performances exploring a shared theme, HEIMAT: Homeland/Stranger, built around the same scenographic device and presented as a five-day marathon.
One of Italy’s most distinctive female directors and a protagonist of the Romaeuropa Festival since the early stages of her career, Fabiana Iacozzilli directs the Compagnia dell’Accademia in The Belgrade Trilogy by Serbian playwright Biljana Srbljanovic, a cult work of contemporary European theatre. Through the stories of young people suspended between war, exile and the desire for a future, her production explores themes of loss, belonging and the search for a possible place to call home.
