Jose Negroni presents, SERRAT..."En Voz De Mujer"

Jazz piano and flamenco-inspired vocals come together in an intimate tribute to the songs of Joan Manuel Serrat. Jose Negroni presents, SERRAT..."En Voz De Mujer" takes place Saturday, August 15 at the Koubek Center. Presented by José Negroni and Miami-Dade County Auditorium, the concert features music director, producer and pianist José Negroni with flamenco singer Ana del Rocío. The program explores Serrat’s best-known songs through a chamber-like fusion of jazz piano, Spanish-language song and expressive vocal interpretation. Negroni, known for his Latin Grammy-nominated work with Negroni’s Trio and as a solo pianist, brings a refined jazz perspective to the material, while del Rocío frames Serrat’s repertoire through the emotional language of flamenco-influenced singing. The performance is part of Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s Away From Home Series, which presents dance, theater and music at partner venues while the auditorium undergoes renovation.
