Celebrate queer history during World Pride Amsterdam! The Luther Museum presents a special exhibition filled with personal stories about queer life, faith, and emancipation. Discover how the Lutheran community emerged as a pioneer in the field of inclusivity and join in celebrating that everyone is welcome under the rainbow. On view until October 11, 2026. This Lutheran Loves You Especially for World Pride Amsterdam, the Luther Museum presents *Ons Geloof is Liefde* (Our Faith is Love) , an exhibition about the unique history of the Lutheran queer community in the Netherlands. Through personal stories, archival documents, and contemporary art, you will discover how Lutherans offered space to LGBTQIA+ believers as early as the 1950s and grew into pioneers in the field of inclusion. A special part of the exhibition is the monumental portraits by photographer Jesse van den Berg, which make contemporary queer Lutherans visible in the windows of the church hall. Additionally, in the exhibition We Carry Forward: Queer Horizons of Imagination, international artists explore how queer perspectives can contribute to a more inclusive future.
