We are moving to Mondays starting January 5, 2026! We are so excited to offer an additional in-person writing meetup! We will be meeting bi-weekly on Mondays from 7-8:30p pm at Sip & Play in Park Slope at 471 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11215. We'll be meeting for an hour and a half to write our own personal projects, starting with a 15-minute discussion, one hour of collective writing, and ending with writers encouraged - but not required - to share some of their work after the writing portion of the session. We will give brief reactions to pieces, including favorite lines/phrases, questions, what the piece reminded us of, and feelings/mood we took away. This will not be a full-on critique session, but a low-pressure opportunity to share and discuss our writing!. If you have a writing project/practice that you'd like to bring in to work on, please do. If you don't, that's great too! We will provide a few prompts and exercises to get things started. We encourage attendees to help support the cafe by enjoying their food and drink offerings.
