Listening Space and DJ Workshops with DJ Bia

Step into our Listening Space and join DJ Bia for a live opening set before taking part in a hands-on DJ workshop. Using samples inspired by South Asia and its diaspora, you'll experiment with mixing. Workshop spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Between workshops, stay in the gallery to enjoy music, games and conversation. 6.00 - 6.30: DJ Bia opening set 6.30 - 7.15: DJ Workshop 7.15 - 7.30: Listening Space 7.30 - 8:15: DJ Workshop 8.15 - 9.00: Listening Space Bia is a DJ based in London who enjoys creative cross-genre mixing and bringing together diverse audiences through music. She draws inspiration from old-school Bollywood, qawwali and Arab hits, with R&B, Hip-hop and classic party anthems. She is also a co-founder of Bint Bash- a girls only offline party movement. This event is part of Aaram Hours, an evening of connection, creativity and community with free workshops, performances and food. Created by a collective of South Asian co-producers, Aaram Hours offers a space to convene, gather and rest (for ages 14-26).
