About the event

A sapphic swordswoman. A drag queen duke. A queer Versailles.Julie arrives at court seeking justice and instead finds an unexpected romance and an unlikely community. 'Firebrand' is a new queer musical about an old queer struggle between living authentically and the safety of conforming. Inspired by true events, this heartfelt show is perfect for fans of 'Fun Home', 'La Cage Aux Folles', and 'Bridgerton'. 'Firebrand' is a developmental workshop written by Merilee Ettia and Robbie Hébert, presenting Act 1 in a semi-staged concert format. Water Rats is an 18+ venue and ID may be required upon entrance.
