Always oversubscribed interest to these events.** *“He’s a bit of a legend!”* Clare (host) This time we shall be exploring one of London’s many lost rivers- the greatest of them all - the mighty Fleet. A prehistoric tributary, a Roman trade route, a medieval moat, an eighteenth-century eyesore and a Victorian sewer. The history of the Fleet captures both the potent symbolism and the stomach-churning reality of London’s relationship with dirt. You will need to join the WhatAapp group before the event starts, as if you’re late, you’ll just need to catch us up (the hosts will not be picking up their phones!)** Finishes close to Blackfriars Tube **4.45/5pm-Late: PUB SOCIAL (optional)** We'll head to a local pub for a social chit chat over drinks, close to finish point at Blackfriars tube.
