Contemporary Brazilian Social Dance Form and Technique This class centers contemporary Brazilian social dance as a living cultural form shaped by Afro Brazilian rhythm, social exchange, and embodied musical dialogue. The practice welcomes new dancers while continuing to challenge returning participants through careful attention to foundational movement, technique, and musical structure. Emphasis is placed on how technique supports listening, how rhythm organizes relationship, and how social dance carries cultural memory through the body. Instruction prioritizes clarity, consent, and shared responsibility in partner dance. The learning environment is welcoming and inclusive, supporting dancers in developing grounded technique, responsive connection, and expressive range over time. Open to all experience levels. No partner required.
