The piece is based on Larson’s own life and tells the story of Jon: a New York composer, who on the brink of his 30th birthday, questions whether he will ever achieve anything in life. Jon struggles with the realities of being an artist, financial difficulties, the pressure of friends who have become successful, and the fear of failure. The musical is infused with Larson’s own passion and perseverance.
