Afro house, melodic house and organic rhythms set the pace for an open-air night at Jungle Island led by &friends, Apache and MALAS. Presented by Soundtuary and RASA, the event takes place Saturday, September 12, with Miami DJ Mejias rounding out the lineup. The musical project of producer Sean Thomas, &friends builds story-driven sets that move through Afro, melodic and deep house. French-born, Miami-based Apache, founder of Soundtuary, draws on Afro and organic house with tropical and percussive influences. Spain-born producer MALAS brings a cross-cultural approach shaped by his Lebanese heritage and experiences in underground music scenes, while Mejias blends Afro house, deep melodies and global rhythms. Boho-chic, artistic and free-spirited attire is encouraged. Reusable cups and spring water in aluminum cans will be offered as part of the organizers’ effort to reduce single-use plastic. Parking and VIP table reservations are available, and guests with before-10 p.m. tickets must arrive by that time to avoid paying the difference in admission price.
