For WorldPride Amsterdam, Ambassade Art Gallery presents UNITED. Across the gallery’s two exhibition spaces, ten international artists bring together intimate painting, photography, collage, sculpture and light art. A distinctive meeting of different voices reflecting on identity, freedom and the power of coming together. An international encounter UNITED brings together ten artists with widely different backgrounds and visual languages: Noah Valentyn, Chris Marmier, Onno Visser, Marina Zumi, Igor Zonai, Handiedan, Mister SAMO, Sam Hil Atalanta, Suzy Faiz and CBLOXX. Spread across the two exhibition spaces of Ambassade Art Gallery, the presentation brings together painting, photography, collage, sculpture and light art. Personal stories meet broader questions of identity, emotion, memory, culture and change. The significance of coming together The exhibition takes inspiration from UNITY, the theme of WorldPride Amsterdam. At a time when visibility, freedom and hard won rights cannot be taken for granted, UNITED reveals what can emerge when different experiences and perspectives meet. The exhibition offers room for beauty and wonder, as well as attention, encounter and reflection.
