Order, shapes the way we live. We learn to edit ourselves into forms that appear perfect, respectable and acceptable to the world around us. Yet the instincts we suppress, the shame we hide, and the impulses that do not fit neatly into social order do not disappear. They grow quietly beneath the surface.Inspired by the dream sequence in The Peony Pavilion, this physical theatre work externalises an inner psychological conflict through movement, projection, light and breath. Bodies fracture, resist and reassemble inside a shifting visual landscape, inviting audiences into a private emotional maze.When the masks we carry are stripped away, what remains? And can we embrace the disordered, wounded, living self beneath?
